On February 2, 2012, NordicHouse organized together with Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce (SPCC) an international business meeting "Economical and financial market perspective for 2012". Our guest speaker was the chief economist of one of the biggest banks in Poland BZ WBK, Maciej Reluga.
Our new tourist web side www.visitkrakow.eu for the Scandinavian markets is a big success. Already now we organize in April and May 2012 visits for big groups from Denmark, Sweden and Norway. June is reserved for European championships in football. Also Danish high schools and shcools of commerce have showned a big interest. The groups are coming in March, April and May 2012.
In the beginning of December, 2011, NordicHouse signed a partnership agreement with one of the biggest Finnish recruitment companies placed in Helsinki, Finland. In December we succeded in recruiting 5 welders to a Finnish customer.
On November 25, 2011, Martin Kahl from Nordic Energy in Copenhagen visited together with NordicHouse the Swedish AIT-Techs factory in Tarnow. NordicHouse is agent for the producer of fotovoltaic cells on the Nordic market. Nordic Energy has selling rihgts in this area. The main purpose with this visit was visiting the factory and negotiating new agreements.
On October 24, 2011, 8 journalists from Norway’s biggest regional newspaper, Bergens Tidende (“The Bergen Times”) visited NordicHouse. CEO in NordicHouse, Janus Kahl told the journalists from the business section of the newspaper about the interregional cooperation between Nordic countries and Southern Poland, cooperation with Norwegian companies, recruitment and the economic and political situation in Poland.
On October 16, 2011, Janus Kahl, CEO in NordicHouse received the Danish Social- and Integration minister, Karen Hækkerup, the Danish ambassador, Thomas Østrup Møller and the Chief of Department, Jesper Twister in Krakow. The minister visited Krakow in connection with a EU social ministers meeting on October, 17 in Krakow during Polands EU formandsship. Janus Kahl organised delegation visits in different museums in the city.
NordicHouse has recently helped an international organisation with an affiliation to UN "Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons" from Hague in The Netherlands with recruitment of a Polish staff member for the United Nations (UN).
On September 29, 2011, NordicHouse organized together with the Danish Embassy conference "Danish Sustainable Living - Smart cities". The representatives from Danish Embassy, Malopolska Marshall´s Office and Economic University, cities, organizations and NGO´s in Krakow participated in the conference, which took place at the Economic University. Janusz Kahl was moderator during the conference.
NordicHouse has initiated a partnership cooperation with a Norwegian recruitment company from Bergen. The cooperation involves today recruitment of workers to construction industry - 40 carpenters, electricians and concrete workers to 5 of their regular customers on the Norwegian market.
NordicHouse started cooperation with Norwegian company Nordan Consult AS, which is license holder for the innovative and patented INC technology transforming household waste to energy, based on the INC gasification process. The new technology will be introduced in Poland very soon.
